Driving-related accidents are the single largest cause of fatalities in E&P related operations. Since 1998, OGP member companies have reported that 158 upstream workers have died in such accidents. Studies conducted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) predict that road deaths will increase and that by 2010 they will be the second largest contributor to mortality globally. The purpose of this website is to provide ready access to information relevant to managing all forms of land transportation operations undertaken during E&P activities. |
